R. Riveter is a U.S.-based handbag and accessories company founded in 2011 by military spouses Cameron Cruse and Lisa Bradley to solve the employment challenges faced by military families who move frequently. The products are all hand crafted by mostly military families.

Inspiration behind the name
The Corbin Handbag was inspired by Margaret Corbin, an incredibly strong woman who fought in the American Revolutionary War despite the status of women during her time. A nurse by trade, Corbin decided to join her husband during a battle, where they both fought alongside the hundreds of men battling the British troops. Though John was enlisted and Margaret was not. she had observed her husband shooting cannons. During battle, her husband fell in action, and Margaret bravely took his place at the cannon, and continued to fire until she was too seriously injured to continue. Corbin was hit in her jaw, chest and arm, and eventually had to surrender due to her injuries.
 
She became the first woman to ever receive a military pension, and is buried at West Point Cemetery. The legacy Margaret Corbin left behind inspires bravery, confidence and adventure in each and every person who carries the Corbin backpack. 
 
Canvas Care Suggestions: 
When spot cleaning the canvas, we suggest using a brush or sponge with water only to wipe it off soiled area. We do not recommend using anything other than water as it could discolor canvas material. 
 
Maintenance of R. Riveter Leather:
