R. Riveter is a U.S.-based handbag and accessories company founded in 2011 by military spouses Cameron Cruse and Lisa Bradley to solve the employment challenges faced by military families who move frequently. The products are all hand crafted by mostly military families.

The Dakota name draws from the Great Plains and the military aircraft that bore it — the C-47 Dakota, a rugged transport plane that carried troops and supplies across Europe during WWII. Known for its reliability, the Dakota was the lifeline of countless missions, earning a reputation for being tough, steady, and built to last.
