R. Riveter is a U.S.-based handbag and accessories company founded in 2011 by military spouses Cameron Cruse and Lisa Bradley to solve the employment challenges faced by military families who move frequently. The products are all hand crafted by mostly military families.

Behind the Name: 
Harriet Chalmers Adams (1875 –1937) was a renowned American Adventurer. She traveled over a hundred thousand miles, wrote and photographed her adventures and captivated audiences all over the world for publications like the National Geographic, the NY Times and Harpers.
 
Harriet also worked as a war correspondent during WWI – and was the only female journalist permitted to visit the trenches. She traveled as a fearless trailblazer – but she also helped launch the Society of Woman Geographers in 1925 to help pave the way for other females in the industry.
